Ministries & Groups
St. John the Baptist Parish is blessed with a wide variety of ministries and groups that serve our parish family in Estevan, Bienfait, and Torquay.
Whether you’re looking to deepen your faith, share your gifts, or get more involved in parish life, there’s a place for you here.
We invite you to explore our ministries below and discover how you can take part in the mission of our parish.
Liturgical Ministries
These ministries support the celebration of the Mass and help lead our community in worship. Training and support are provided for all volunteers.
Altar Servers
Our altar servers assist the priest during the celebration of Mass and special liturgies.
Young people and families are encouraged to participate, and server appreciation events—like the annual summer pool party—celebrate their commitment.
Lectors
Lectors proclaim the Word of God during Mass. This ministry is open to parishioners who feel called to share Scripture with clarity, reverence, and conviction.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion & Precious Blood
These ministers help distribute the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass and may assist in bringing Communion to the sick or homebound.
Music Ministry
Our parish choir and musicians lead the assembly in sung prayer. If you love to sing or play an instrument, we welcome your gifts at weekend liturgies or special celebrations.
Coordinators: Jocelyn Hall & Sandra Bazin
Children's Liturgy
Children are invited to hear the Gospel in language they can understand during the Sunday 10:00 AM Mass in Estevan.
